Albania Securities Exchange and Junior Achievement of Albania investment of Albanian American Development Foundation sign cooperation agreement for the development of the programs and didactic materials in the field of financial education with focus capital market!

This cooperation aims to raise awareness about financial education in terms of basic financial principles such as: savings, investments, financial market, securities, stock market and capital market.

The first phase of this collaboration begins with the preparation of a series of animated videos focused on financial education and the capital market. The videos will serve as an awareness and education instrument for the general public and young people in particular. This phase is projected to last about 6 months and the videos will be easily accessible on social media and social networks targeting a wide audience.

Albanian Securities Exchange (ALSE) is the first private equity securities exchange operating in the Republic of Albania, licensed by the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority in July 2017. It started trading for the first time in February 2018. All types of financial instruments that meet the listing criteria in full compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework are traded on the ALSE. The Albanian Securities Exchange (ALSE) aims to create a domestic securities market which will become a key point of the local financial market to enable easier and faster access of Albanian business to free funding sources. Also, Albanian Securities Exchange (ALSE) aims to be a credible market in the eyes of local investors but also a serious and reliable partner for foreign investors.

Junior Achievement of Albania (JAA) is a strategic investment of the Albanian American Development Foundation (AADF) with institutional support of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth. The mission of Junior Achievement of Albania is to promote and support economic, financial education and entrepreneurship among young people in Albania. As a unique example among the 122 countries that implement the JA program in schools, the support ensures a quality inclusion of the JA program in the educational curriculum, capacity building of the teaching staff and the continued involvement of the business community in school life. A highlight of Junior Achievement of Albania achievements during 2019 was the recognition as a model organization among 40 sister organizations in Europe.

As an active part of the Albanian Network for Financial Education (ANFE), ALSE and JAA confirm their positive willingness to collaborate continuously on raising awareness about financial modules, securities market, savings, investments etc.
