
Within the framework of the World Investor Week (30 September 2019 – 6 October 2019) initiated for the first time on 2017 from The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA), as a member of this organization, in collaboration with the Albanian Securities Exchange (ALSE) and other organizations which operate in the investment field, have organized a variety of activities.
During this important week focused on the Investor, organized activities have intended to raise awareness and to inform the investors regarding the capital market, investment funds and private pension schemes. A special focus had the education of the public regarding the opportunities offered from non-banking financial market to evaluate or diversify in an efficient way their savings. Likewise, a special attention in these activities took the hard work that AFSA is doing in the direction of consumer protection from the risks or possible market abuses in the financial market.
The week dedicated to investors started with the workshop held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana (CCIT) and continued with open lectures at the domestic Economic Universities and High Schools. Representatives of AFSA together with experts in this field were present in media and television studios with prime time visibility rate to increase the awareness in the framework of this initiative.
