On May 16th, 2019, at the premises of Albanian Securities Exchange (ALSE) it was organized an open lecture with topic “Financial Market and the Albanian Securities Exchange”. In this event participated the representatives of academic staff and students of master program from Marin Barleti University. The Executive Director of Albanian Securities Exchange, Mr. Artan Gjergji made a summary of domestic financial market and then he explained thoroughly about capital markets as well as stock exchange in details.
Furthermore, the participants of this lecture were familiarized with the infrastructure making possible the process of matching demand with supply for securities. The specialist of surveillance and risk management, Mrs. Erinda Fiku presented the Electronic Trading System, a platform which facilitates trading in the stock exchange. Students had a pro-active interaction by asking practical questions regarding the cases of transaction executions, market abuse possibilities and measures taken from ALSE to prevent such cases in order to guarantee a sound and transparent market.
