Based on  the decision of Ministers Council dated 21.11.2017 for Scheduling of Friday, date 30.11.2018, as holiday and announcement for the change made on the calendar of the Albanian Financial Instument Settlement and Registration (AFISaR) in which it is scheduled that date 30.11.2018 is official holiday, the Albanian Securities Exchange took action to disactivate this date from the Administrator ETS system of the Quick Trade software. Consequently no trade with securities can be made on this date.

Today, date 20.11.2018 Albanian Securities Exchange, organized a meeting with Brokers and representatives of ALSE Members, where it was discussed about:

  1. Some issues that have resulted in reporting of trades on ALSE;
  2. Pricing the Brokerage intermediation services regarding the clients’ transactions;
  3. Continuity of Membership on ALSE during 2019;
  4. Applying on AFSA for license extension to trade corporate securities (stocks and corporate bonds).

During this meeting, Brokers expressed their problems regarding the double transactions reporting (both to ALSE and AFSA), and they also raised the problem of ambiguity regarding the types of financial instruments that are permitted to be trade by their actual license given from AFSA.

Consequently, Brokers participating in this meeting committed that they will ask for information on AFSA about the necessary steps and documents required to expand their license in corporate securities (stocks, corporate bonds, commercial papers, etc).

From ALSE was required that Members should prepare the respective fees regarding the sale of securities through a Public Offer, on their counters.

At the end of meeting, ALSE once more confirmed the support for its Members with the intention of developing a healthy and sustainable domestic capital market.
