Today, on April 25th, 2019, was executed the first transaction by a brokerage firm at ALSE. Triumf Grup traded 30 units of Treasury Bills with a maturity date of 6 months, at the value of 298,000 ALL. This transaction was executed during the on-exchange trading hours and there was no problem in the post-trading process (reporting to clearing agent, clearing-settlement).

This transaction marks an important mile stone in the process of developing securities market in Albania since it indicates an increase in the level of the interest by other financial institutions (not banks) to be active in the intermediation of securities transactions for citizens and other position holders.

Now the investors interested to trade debt securities that hold in their portfolios, before their maturity, can deal not only with banks but also with the brokerage firms’ licensed by the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority and accepted as member at ALSE.
