It is held an online lecture from University College Wisdom with topic “Financial Markets and its Institutions” and guest speaker the Chief Executive Director of Albanian Securities Exchange.

On 5th of May, 2020, Albanian Securities Exchange participated in the open lecture with topic “Financial Markets and its Institutions” organized from the University College Wisdom. During this webinar, the Chief Executive Director of ALSE, Mr. Artan Gjergji, familiarized the participants with the financial market structure by focusing in more details on capital market and explaining about the functioning of this market and its main actors.

Furthermore, there was shown a special interest in the in the theories of portfolio management, where Mr. Gjergji explained in details the types of portfolio management, possible risks that investors are exposed to and different investment funds currently operating in Albania.

In the end of this lecture, Mr. Gjergji explained in general terms about the process of clearing and settlement in the stock exchange, highlighting the importance of this institution in the capital market architecture.

This lecture was very interactive, in which the participants were interested by asking specific questions regarding the price decrease in the investment fund quotas in Albania during the pandemic period. Mr. Gjergji explained that the price volatility was created due to the panic of investors because of pandemy and that this phenomenon was a temporary one without exposing the market to a systemic risk.

University Marin Barleti organized an online lecture with topic “Capital Markets, the Stock Exchange and they’re importance in the Post-Covid time” and guest speaker the Chief Executive Director of Albanian Securities Exchange.

On 3rd June, 2020, Albanian Securities Exchange participated in the webinar with topic “Capital Markets, the Stock Exchange and they’re importance in the Post-Covid time” organized by the Marin Barleti University. During this online lecture, the Chief Executive Director of ALSE, Mr. Artan Gjergji, familiarized the participants with the financial market structure by focusing in more details on capital market as well as explaining the functioning of this market and its main actors.

Furthermore, a special interest was shown by the participants regarding the investment process theories, where Mr. Gjergji explained in details the different types of portfolio management, possible risks that investors face and different current and potential investment markets in Albania.

At the end of this lecture, Mr. Gjergji analyzed the impact of COVID-19 virus in the global stock exchanges, its effects in the prices of various securities, measures taken to comfort the drastic price decline during March, and a possible scenario of the post – COVID -19 financial situation.


On June 2nd, 2020, Albanian Securities Exchange published the Annual Rapport 2019. In the annual rapport of 2019 it is reflected the progress of ALSE’s activity during the second year of operation as an active organized market by including information regarding the memberships on the stock exchange, listing process of the Government debt securities and transactions with them, activities organized by ALSE in the framework of public education and a wide variety of detailed information, part the activity of this institution during 2019.

On its meeting of May 13th, 2020, the ALSE Supervisory Board approved the guidance of listing in Albanian Securities Exchange markets.

Following the work done for completion of ALSE regulatory framework, the listing guidance gives information to Albanian companies, interested to issue securities, or which are currently listed in the stock exchange, toward a more detailed view of listing processes.

Moreover, this guidance has the intention of guiding potential and existing issues on the:

  • Procedures of delisting existing securities from stock exchange markets;
  • Procedures of transferring securities in between stock exchange markets;
  • Reporting procedures and obligations that listed companies have to be transparent and to disclose information to both, ALSE and public.
